Auto Accept Edits
Streamline your workflow by automatically accepting Viete's suggested edits and changes during model iteration. Perfect for when you trust the AI's judgment and want rapid iteration without manual approval steps.
What is Auto Accept?
When iterating on Excel models with Viete AI, you can request changes, refinements, or additions. Normally, you'd review each suggested change before accepting. Auto Accept mode skips the manual review step and completes entire tasks autonomously:
Standard Mode
1. Request change
2. Viete proposes edit
3. You review change
4. Manually accept or reject
5. Change applied
6. Repeat for each modification
Auto Accept Mode
1. Request task completion
2. Viete works autonomously
3. All edits auto-applied
4. Task completed automatically
5. No further input needed
Complete Task Autonomy
In Auto Accept mode, Viete completes your entire requested task without stopping for approval at each step. Give the instruction, enable Auto Accept, and Viete works through all necessary changes until the task is fully complete.
Example: "Add a complete financial analysis section with variance calculations, charts, and summary metrics" in Auto Accept mode means Viete adds all components, formulas, formatting, and visualizations automatically without pausing for approval at each step.
Interrupt and Redirect
Even in Auto Accept mode, you maintain control. You can interrupt generation at any time to redirect or refine:
Interrupt Anytime
Stop the auto-execution at any point. Viete pauses immediately, preserving all work completed so far.
Example: Auto Accept is building a dashboard. You realize you want a different chart type. Interrupt, specify the change, and either continue or switch back to Auto Accept with the new direction.
Redirect and Continue
After interrupting, provide new instructions or corrections. Viete adjusts approach and continues—either manually or back in Auto Accept mode.
Example: Interrupt mid-generation, say "Actually, use blue color scheme instead of green," then re-enable Auto Accept. Viete adjusts and completes the rest with the new direction.
No Lost Work
Interrupting doesn't lose progress. Everything completed before the interrupt remains. Only redirect the future work, not redo the past.
When to Use Auto Accept
Rapid Iteration
When building models quickly and you trust Viete to make appropriate changes, Auto Accept eliminates friction and speeds up development.
Minor Adjustments
For small tweaks, formatting changes, or straightforward additions where manual review adds little value.
Trusted Patterns
When you've worked with Viete enough to understand its behavior and trust its judgment on changes.

When NOT to Use Auto Accept
Auto Accept is powerful but should be used thoughtfully. Avoid it when:
- Working on critical financial models requiring validation
- Making complex formula changes that need verification
- First time using Viete on unfamiliar model types
- Client deliverables requiring careful quality control
- Changes affecting important calculations or data integrity
- Learning Viete's capabilities and behavior
Safety Features
Even with Auto Accept enabled, you're protected:
- Full session history preserved—can always review what changed
- Undo/rollback capability to revert auto-accepted changes
- Can disable Auto Accept anytime during session
- Changes still logged and documented
- Version history maintained for auditing
Best Practices
Start with Manual Review
When beginning a new model, review changes manually to understand Viete's approach. Switch to Auto Accept once patterns are clear and trusted.
Toggle as Needed
Use Auto Accept for routine changes, disable for critical ones. Don't feel locked into one mode—switch based on the change being made.
Review Session History
After rapid iteration with Auto Accept, review the complete session history to ensure all auto-accepted changes were appropriate.
